chemical peel penetration in the skin

chemical peel penetration in the skin

This graph shows the penetration of the chemical peel in the skin layers. The more intense the peel, the deeper it penetrates through the skin.

The most common peel is the Progressive peel. It can be done in a series or combined with a mid-depth peel to accelerate the turn over of cells, dependant on skin imperfections. Progressive peels are for ALL skin types and conditions.

Mid-depth peels are for skin with deeper or more intense damage.  deeper acne scars, severely sun damaged, hyperpigmented skin or aged skin.

Deep peels are for more damaged skin conditions and fewer are needed because of the intensity of its affects.

progressive peel

progressive peel

The progressive peel is the most common because of its immediate effects and no downtime.

This example shows what to expect from a progressive peel, little to no peeling, a beautiful glow, re-oxegenated and  re-texturized skin.

This process helps re-vitalize the collagen precess, it will tighten the skin elasticity, diminish the appearance of fine fines and wrinkles, it will immediately make the skin feel smooth and appear glowing

mid-depth peel

This example shows what is to be expected to the skin post treatment of a mid-depth peel. approx 3 days post peel, similar to a sunburn peel.

deep peel

deep peel

This example demonstrates what happens to the stratum corneum (top layers of the skin) during the deep peel process. It will brown, crust and peel, There will be areas that will peel thicker or more in certain areas than others. This peel should not be done more than 3-4 times a year. Often it is used after a series of progressive and mid-peels.

No one person peels the same

The results afterwards are dramatic and noticable everytime!
